Brickford tourism office has released figures that show that there has been an increase in holidaying in the area despite the ‘credit crunch’.
Fairview Caravan Park, on the edge of the Cypress Forest – home to some of the rarest trees around – has been full for most of the summer season and still shows little sign of easing up as the holiday period comes close to its end.
Holiday goers Hannah and Richard Under-Canvass have been coming to Fairview for the last three years and this time they’ve brought their new camper van instead of their tent.
“We love to come to Brickford for our holidays. There’s so many things to see and do – horse riding, cycling and walking through the beautiful Cypress tree forest is just so relaxing and a contrast to our big city lifestyle” – Richard Under-Canvass.
